DAY 1:
Arrive Osian Camp. Enjoy the desert sunset on Camel back. One also has the choice of doing a Jeep Safari where our rugged 4X4 drive Jeeps will take you much deeper into the desert. You get to meet the local tribals, and experience their way of life. You also get to see wild life the likes of Peacock, Partridge, Fox, Chinkara, Blue Bull etc. An evening of music and dance awaits you on your return from the safari. Folk musicians entertain you around the camp fire. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY 2:
After a leisurely breakfast you go on a temple tour before departing for your onward destination.

This Safari is a real hit with the guests who wish to explore in depth. It has also proved very popular with couples and honey mooners.
DAY 1:
You are met at Bhikamkor by the Camp staff. After a light lunch and a rest (during which the Camp Boss briefs you in detail), you mount your camels and ride into the desert. Today you ride for about 2 hours to get accustomed to the camels. Tomorrow you have about 5 hours of riding to do. You arrive at the mobile camp in the middle of nowhere set up just for you. The Camp staff is in waiting to welcome you. Here you have your own tent, your dining tent, kitchen, your own butler, chef and waiters. Dinner around a campfire. Over night at the mobile camp.
DAY 2:
After an early breakfast, you mount your camels again and head out into the desert. While on the Safari, your camel drivers and guide are trained professionals, experienced and very friendly. They will occasionally stop en-route for refreshments and rest at local tribal’s houses. After about 3 hours you reach an oasis where the Camp staff awaits you with hot lunch. Mattresses are laid out for you to stretch out a bit. After lunch and a rest, you ride on to the base camp at Osiyan. An evening of music and dance around the campfire where you are entertained by local folk musicians.

DAY 3:
After a leisurely breakfast, you go on a temple tour of Osian before departing for your onward destination.

If you are in Jodhpur, and your tight schedule does not permit you the experience of a night with us, a day excursion is a must. Here you visit the Jodhpur fort and drive on to Osian. Arrive Osian in time for lunch, and after a rest mount your camels to go on the camel safari. Return to the camp in time to enjoy a beautiful champagne sunset. After cocktails and dinner, guests depart for Jodhpur.
The idea behind this is to give the guest a very affordable experience of the true feel of the desert, and the chance of staying and mingling with the tribals. This is the best way to discover the remote areas of the Thar Desert and the rugged people braving the odds of the desert. You are received at the Osian Railway / Bus Station, and transported by 4 wheel drive jeeps to a “DHAANI” (the houses of the tribal’s). The Camp Boss introduces you to the headman of the family who is going to be your host. After lunch, your host gets you to mount the camels and takes you on a Camel Safari to explore the desert. A quiet dinner prepared by the family, and a night under the most clear night skies you may have seen. The next morning you are transported back to Osian village by jeeps for your onward journey.
We recommend at least two nights at the “DHAANI”.
